Spinneys Group, a leading supermarket chain in the Middle East has plans to open new stores across the region by 2013. The group is planning aggressive expansion by launching supermarkets in Qatar, Lebanon, Egypt and entering the Jordanian market. The company is also seeking new opportunities in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.The company presently has seven stores in Lebanon, three in Egypt and one in Qatar.
It will soon open its first outlet in Jordan and expects to open three stores in Lebanon in 2012. The Spinneys Group will launch five new stores in Egypt and another five in Qatar by 2013. It is aspiring to have its first entries into Saudi and Kuwaiti markets in 2013.
