The UAE- based café restaurant, Shakespeare and Co. is planning to foray in the overseas market. The company is planning to launch the concept in Beirut, Muscat and Doha in the coming months. It will enter into these markets via franchise route. By this, the brand expects to limit its financial risk during expansions. Besides, Shakespeare is also looking to start its brand outlet in Lexington, USA soon. The brand hopes to leverage from the strong American restaurant market which totaled USD 604 billion (Dh2.21 trillion) in 2011. The brand will keep its menu mostly similar to its UAE offerings while some dishes will be customised to cater to local consumers. Shakespeare presently has a dozen outlets in the UAE. Launched in Dubai in 2001, the Shakespeare and Co. comprises four modules: the café-restaurants, floral creations, patisserie and catering.
