Second Cup, the Canadian coffee chain has announced its franchise expansion into Kurdistan, Iraq. The company has signed its 17th regional agreement with HMS Coffee Limited. Under this agreement, the brand’s new cafés will be opened in the semi-autonomous Kurdistan region of Iraq with HMS Coffee Limited. HMS is expected to launch brand’s first café in Erbil in the coming months. Further, the company has plans for opening multiple stores in 2012 and later on.
The 36 year old café concept, Second Cup is owned by the Second Cup Coffee Company Inc. with strong international presence in 16 countries with 63 operating units internationally. The brand cafés offer a variety of exclusive blends, espresso-based beverages, iced drinks, signature foods and premium beverages.
