Japengo Cafe chain is looking to ramp up its presence in the Gulf region via franchising. The brand is aiming to sign up at least 10 franchisees in the neighbouring GCC countries by 2012. Japengo, the restaurant brand was founded in the late 1990’s. The chain presently has nine outlets in the UAE and one in India. It offers a mix of Chinese, Japanese, Lebanese and Italian foods.The brand is owned by Dubai-based retail group, BinHendi Enterprises. The group has over 60 brands in its portfolio and 100 stores across the UAE.
