Second Cup, the coffee café concept has entered into semi-autonomous Kurdistan region of Iraq. The Canadian brand has partnered with HMS Coffee Limited (HMS) to develop the brand’s new cafés in Kurdistan. The new development agreement is the brand’s 17th regional franchise development agreement that is a part of its continued international expansion. HMS plans to launch the first Second Cup cafe in Erbil in the coming months. Moreover, it is looking to open several cafés in 2012 and later on. Second Cup cafés are known for their broad ranging unique and novel blends, espresso-based beverages and iced drinks, signature foods, and premium beverages. Second Cup, the Coffee café concept headquartered in Toronto in Canada was established more than 36 years ago. In 2003, the brand initiated its global expansion and today has strong presence in 16 countries across the world with 63 cafes operating internationally. The brand will soon launch its operations in Morocco. Now, Second Cup is also seeking new regional franchise partners for additional countries.
