Asda, the UK based retailer has signed a franchise deal with a Lebanon based company Azadea Group to take its budget clothing brand, George to the Middle East. By this agreement, Azadea Group will launch George franchise stores in the Middle East market. The George label already trades in six overseas countries in stores run by ASDA’s US parent company Walmart. ASDA is aspiring to turn the clothing label into an international brand. Last year, the group announced its plans to establish some pilot George stores in the international market.
