Shock Middle East was launched in late 2016 and now the UAE broadcast and Media Company based in Dubai’s Media City, has launched its third radio station.
Hala 95.6 FM, shock middle east’s third radio station is designed to cater to a youthful, Arabic-speaking audience in the UAE. It is the first Arabic-language brand in the company’s portfolio.
The new radio station, which was released in Arabian Business in February, ties up with established stations Dance 97.8 FM and Heart 107.1 FM.
The new station has two prime-time live shows Eesh Sabahak (6am- 11am) with Mohammed Enaba and Dardasha (3pm-8pm) with Reine Abour Jeily and plays contemporary Arabic music with conversation, local information and news bulletins from BBC World News Beat.
Raed Zidan, the founder and co-owner of Shock Middle East (launched in 2016) says, “We’re over the moon to have launched our third radio station – and in less than one year.”
