Cravia, food and drinks retailer in the UAE, has announced its expansion plans. The company, which is a franchisee of the US brands Cinnabon and Seattle’s Best Coffee also holds the franchise for Lebanese restaurant chain Zaatar w Zeit. Cravia also plans to open 15 new outlets across the Emirates. It is planning to open about five outlets for each brand in 2012 and has secured four locations for new outlets, including sites in Dubai Marina and Dubai Sports City for Zaatar w Zeit, and spots in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain for Cinnabon.c The company will invest about AED 30m (USD 8.17m) for the proposed expansion.
The company is contemplating expansion in other Gulf markets, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Oman. Cravia, which has 50 outlets in the UAE, plans to add two more brands to its portfolio and is in talks with a US-based burger chain expecting to close the franchise deal by this year end.
