Alshaya, a Kuwait based international franchise operator plans to open 37 new retail outlets Dalma Mall in Abu Dhabi. The company has signed a lease agreement with Dalma Mall, UAE’s leading shopping destination for these new stores. Under the agreement, Dalma Mall will house mix international brands from sectors like fashion, lifestyle and F&B outlets spanning over 173,000 sq. ft of retail space. These new stores are due to open in the last quarter of 2012. Dalma Mall offers promising investment opportunity for retailers in the region. Presently, the mall gets the average daily footfall of over 15,000 visitors which reaches over 19,000 on weekends. While M. H. Alshaya Co., with brand portfolio of over 55 of the world’s most well known retail brands was founded in 1890.
