Alshaya, the international retail franchise operator, has announced that it is set to acquire the ongoing La Senza business in the UK.
Alshaya, the international retail franchise operator, has announced that it is set to acquire the ongoing La Senza business in the UK. Under an agreement with KPMG, the administrators to La Senza UK, Alshaya UK Limited, which is a part of the Alshaya group of companies, is now the exclusive franchise right holder for the La Senza and 60 brand stores in the UK market. The company is looking to add new product collections and undertake store redesigns. For this, Alshaya is planning an investment of around GBP100m in the UK retail sector over the next two years.
Presently, Alshaya operates more than 55 international brands in 19 countries in 2,000 plus stores. The company first entered the UK market in 2011 by opening Pinkberry, the leading frozen yogurt brand, with current locations in Selfridges and Westfield Stratford.
